Six Hours of My Life I Won’t Get Back

I’ve written on Ferretbrain recently about my love for cheap multi-film box sets, so I thought I would give another one a crack for the site. In terms of price and packaging, the Critters Collection is truly a masterpiece of good value; it presents four discs, comprising the entire Critters series, in a box which is around the size of a standard DVD case, and sells for around £7.

Surely you can’t go wrong with such a package? Surely so long as there is one good film on the set, you’re not wasting your money with it? All it would take would be one above-average movie to justify the price of entry, and then you can treat the rest as simply a bonus, to take or leave as you see fit. That’s how I chose to view the Tremors set, after all, which has one great film, one horrible one, and an above-average film to round out the set.

Surely one of the films here must be good, right?

Wrong.
